Out and About is growing! We are moving away from Facebook, getting our own website and adding “Local” to the name.

Looking for a fun, relaxed, and inclusive space (with onsite parking) to connect with other members of the LGBTQ+ community in Gainesville? Out & About Local is getting together at the vibrant 4th Ave Food Park! Come enjoy a diverse range of delicious food from local vendors, including plenty of vegan options. Soak in the park’s lively atmosphere, make new friends, and if you want, grab a taco & drink at Muñecas full bar. Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to town, all are welcome to join in the fun.
Paper Beads
Let’s get crafty and creative!
Sunday, February 23 from 2pm to 4pm we will take part in the simple, meditative art of paper bead making! It’s fun, easy to learn, and so very relaxing.
Bring an old magazine for paper or use what is supplied. We’ll quickly learn how to cut the paper into strips, roll the strips into beads and finish the beads with the supplied nail polish.
We’ll perform this transformative paper magic at One Love Cafe, 4989 Northwest 40th Place, in Magnolia Parke!
